Abstract
Support for additional Android Enterprise policies for Android 9 and above
Content
MaaS360 adds support for the following Android Enterprise policies for Android OS version 9 and above:
Policy: Disallow Printing
Description: Users are not allowed to print if the setting is on.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > Restrictions > Device Features
Policy: Disable Date & Time Configuration
Description: The configuration of date, time, and timezone are disallowed if the setting is on. The default value is off.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > Restrictions > Device Features
Policy: Disable Ambient Display
Description: The Ambient display is disabled if the setting is on. The default value is off.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > Restrictions > Device Features
Policy: Disable Brightness Configuration
Description: The brightness configuration is disabled if the setting is on. The default value is off.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > Restrictions > Device Features
Policy: Disallow Location Configuration
Description: The location providers are disabled when the setting is on. As a result, users cannot turn the location on or off. The default value is off.
Path: Android Enterprise Settings > Restrictions > Location Sharing Settings
Policy: Disallow Locale Configuration
Description: Users are not allowed to change the device language if the policy is turned on. The default value is false.

Policy: Disallow Share into Managed Profile
Description: The files, pictures, and data cannot be shared from the primary user into the managed profile if the setting is on. The default value is off.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > Security > Work Profile-specific Settings
Policy: Disallow Unified Password under Android Enterprise Settings
Description: The managed profile is not allowed to have unified lock screen challenge with the primary user if the setting is on. Setting this restriction alone doesn't automatically set a separate challenge for the work profile. The administrator needs to enforce a work profile challenge explicitly.

Policy: Disable System Error Dialogues
Description: The system error dialogs for crashed or unresponsive apps are not displayed if the setting is turned on. As a result, the feedback report isn't collected as there is no way for the user to provide explicit consent. The default value is false.

Policy: Disable Airplane Mode
Description: The Airplane mode is disallowed on the device if the setting is on. The default value is false.

Lockdown features
Policy: Hide Navigation Bar
Description: The navigation bar (Home, Back, etc.) is disabled if the setting is on.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > COSU (Kiosk Mode)
Policy: Hide System Bar
Description: The system information indicators such as date and time, connectivity, battery, on the right side of the status bar are disabled if the setting is on.
Path: Android MDM Policy > Android Enterprise Settings > COSU (Kiosk Mode).
Policy: Hide Notifications
Description: The notifications on the status bar, heads-up notifications, and the expandable notification shade are hidden if the setting is on. Note that the Quick Settings panel remains disabled. Notifications can be enabled only if navigation bar is enabled on devices with Android OS version 9.0+
