MES 1.60 Release Summary
Content
MaaS360 releases MES 1.60 on April 9, 2018. The new apps will be elevated to the MaaS360 cloud infrastructure and all Windows agents will automatically upgrade to this version.
In this release, the new agent includes the following features:
Support to capture and upload agent logs in debug mode >>
MaaS360 adds support for enabling debug logging and collecting agent logs for MaaS360 core app, OS VPN, and Secure Browser. However, the access to the settings: enable, disable, and capture debug logs is restricted to the MaaS360 technical support team. This feature helps the support team to easily track and troubleshoot issues pertaining to MaaS360 agents.
Support for new BigFix agent to handle registration failures >>
For customers using the patch management solution, MaaS360 upgrades the BigFix agent to version 9.5.8. With this upgrade, MES performs regular scans on the device to check whether BigFix agent is successfully registered on the MaaS360 portal. If the registration is stuck in failed state MaaS360 re-registers the BigFix agent.
Support for unauthenticated proxy>>
Capabilities to support unauthenticated proxy environments have been added to the MES agent. If a proxy is enabled on the device, app downloads will now happen via proxy.
Support for visibility and reporting of new endpoint security software>>
The MES OPSWAT module is enhanced to recognize newer versions of endpoint security software such as McAfee anti-virus 10.5.3 that are installed on the device. Previously, these anti-virus software were not recognized and reported into the MaaS360 portal.
