Features may fail to load and Liberty Server may fail after updating to FixPack 18.0.0.2 if the Angel Process is not brought to 18.0.0.2 level.

Flashes (Alerts)

Abstract

FixPack 18.0.0.2 delivers code changes that will cause unpredictable results if the Liberty Server is using a previous Maintenance level of the Angel Process.
The z/OS specific features in the Liberty Server may not load successfully during the Liberty Server Initialization, which leads to unpredictable results.

Content

WebSphere does their best to minimize incompatibilities between the Liberty Server and the Angel Process to avoid these types of problems.

As a general rule you should always update the Angel Process to the latest FixPack Level when installing FixPack Maintenance.

This is important because some features configured in the Liberty Server may not be available as documented in the first 'Attention' box, in article:
Administering Liberty on z/OS in the WebSphere Knowledge Center. (See Link Below)
