Problem
As of Cognos Analytics 11.0.7, you can create an image gallery that contains custom images for use in dashboards and reports. However, the thumbnail sometimes does not display the full image.
Cause
The shape of the image e.g. if it is square or rectangular.
Resolving The Problem
In order for the full image to be displayed on the thumbnail, the pixels need to be exactly square. For instance, 100 x 100, 500 x 500, etc. Cognos Analytics will then automatically scale down the image to fully appear as a thumbnail. Therefore, if an image is rectangular, it will trim the image to fit the thumbnail
