You want to use Sterling B2B Integrator / Sterling File Gateway to communicate with a Partner that is using the OpenAS2 product.
Objective
If you want to communicate AS2 with OpenAS2 there are a few parameters that need special attention.
Steps
When you setup the connection between OpenAS2 and Sterling File Gateway / Sterling B2B Integrator please pay attention to the following parameters in the partnerships definition in OpenAS2:
- For the content_transfer_encoding the default value is 8bit which causes issues. Please configure binary or base64 for example.
- OpenAS2 by default uses a special attribute in the CMS message that is not yet supported by Sterling B2B Integrator. You can disable this attribute by setting "remove_cms_algorithm_protection_attrib" to true in the partnership config. Please also see the chapter about "CMS Algorithm Protection" in the OpenAS2 manual.
