Problem
Searching for content using the search option on the Cognos Welcome page returns no results.
This applies to versions of Cognos Analytics other than 11.0.11.
Deleting the indices folder in 11.0.11 causes the search function to fail after the restart.

Resolving The Problem
To resolve the search issue perform these steps:
- Stop Cognos Analytics services
- Go to: <install location>/data/search/
- Delete the contents of the indices folder
- Start the Cognos Analytics services
After completing these steps allow time for the index files to rebuild.
