Workarounds and Mitigations

This issue is only found when using the IBM Security Directory Server.

 

This new behavior can be enabled before backend LDAP
server startup by setting environment variable                  
                                                                
IDS_NEW_PASSWORD_POLICY=YES                                     
                                                                
on the backend server, either from the command line or set in   
the ibmslapd.conf file.                                         

add the following line to cn=Front End entry:
ibm-slapdSetenv: IDS_NEW_PASSWORD_POLICY=YES
