Problem
Uploading files, creating data modules and or dashboards fails with different error messages
Symptom
Messages like the following are logged in cogaudit.log file:
QueryService failed to start with the following command-line arguments:'
In this particular case one of the arguments was '3':
-Xmns512m 3 -server
Cause
Query service java process fails to start because a text entered in the Additional JVM parameters for Query service is an invalid JVM argument. It was '3' in this case.
Resolving The Problem
Clean or correct the value of the Additional JVM parameters for Query service in the Query service properties
