1) Description

This document provides information about the latest PTFs/fix pack produced for this product. These PTFs are now available for download or order. You may acquire the service update in one of the following ways:
- Place an order using the IBM Support Center
- Download the update using the links at the bottom of this page.

[AIX]
When viewing the Vital Product Data (VPD) for this level you will see 7.1.1.1 for all SNA executable files, except the following optional filesets:

sna.gsk_jre 7.1.1.0
sna.man.* 7.1.1.0
sna.msg.* 7.1.1.0
sna.wa 7.1.1.0

To view the Vital Product Data, issue the following command:
lslpp -L 'sna.*'

[Linux]
When viewing the installed packages for this level you will see 7.1.1.1 for the ibm-commserver package. To view the installed level, issue the following command:
rpm -q ibm-commserver

You should see:
ibm-commserver-7.1.1.1-1

[Linux on IBM Z]
When viewing the installed packages for this level you will see 7.1.0.1 for the ibm-commserver package. To view the installed level, issue the following command:
rpm -q ibm-commserver

You should see the following labels for version:
ibm-commserver-7.1.1.1-1.s390x

Installation Instructions

AIX: Installation is performed with installp.
Linux: Instructions are provided in readme files that are included in the download packages.

Download Package

AIX: Minimum requirements for server: sna.rte, sna.rte64. Any fileset currently installed should be updated at the same time. Requirements for client: sna.client. "AIX PTF" are updates, which require the base level to already be installed; "AIX Refresh" are full media refresh images, which do not require the base level to already be installed.
Linux: For the CS Linux Server, you can update an existing installation by applying the fix pack, or you can download the refresh version of the install media to perform a full install. "Linux Fixpack" are updates, which require the base level to already be installed and do not include LiS patch updates; "Linux Refresh" are full media refresh images, which do not require the base level to already be installed.
"API Client" are full install images, which do not require the base level to already be installed.  An existing installation should be removed before installing the newer version; see the readme file accompanying the image for instructions.
GSKit: SSL encryption library updates

The AIX and Linux media refresh packages require Passport Advantage entitlement for access. The API Client refresh packages do not.
NOTE: The AIX PTFs providing filesets sna.rte and sna.rte64 are now bundled into a single download. Extract them from the downloaded tar file to then install normally.
