Question
You have created an Analysis column for inlinks using "all modules" and "all link modules".
Why are fewer inlinks displayed in the Analysis column than in Object Properties - Links tab?
Cause
This is a Known Issue in DOORS 9 and has been recorded as defect number DT392869.
Known Issue details:
If source objects are soft deleted there are fewer inlinks displayed in the Analysis column (does not include inlinks from soft deleted source objects) than in Object Properties - Links tab (includes inlinks from soft deleted source objects).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create two formal modules "Source" and "Target".
2. Create two or more objects in both modules.
3. Create a link from the "Source" object number 1 to the "Target" object number 1 (the DOORS link module is automatically generated at this time)
4. Create a link from the "Source" object number 2 to the "Target" object number 1.
5. In the "Target" module create an Analysis column for inlinks for ALL module and ALL link modules
6. Save this data display setup in a view.
7. In the "Source" module soft delete object number 2.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create two formal modules "Source" and "Target".
2. Create two or more objects in both modules.
3. Create a link from the "Source" object number 1 to the "Target" object number 1 (the DOORS link module is automatically generated at this time)
4. Create a link from the "Source" object number 2 to the "Target" object number 1.
5. In the "Target" module create an Analysis column for inlinks for ALL module and ALL link modules
6. Save this data display setup in a view.
7. In the "Source" module soft delete object number 2.
8. Note the discrepancy between link properties (where both links are displayed) and the analysis column (where the link to the deleted link is no longer displayed).
Defect reason:
This is confusing for users. Both the link properties and analysis column should display the same information (for example with a soft deleted marker displayed?)!

Answer
Make yourself and your DOORS 9 users aware, that if the source object is soft deleted, the analysis column will not display the link from it, but the Object Properties>Links tab will.
