Problem
If many UDPs deployed on the gateway then a significant increase in the time required to load the gateway configuration can be observed.
It is not easy to quantify "a large number of user-defined policies". This could range for example from 100 large or complicated UDPs to over 1000 simple UDPs packaged within an extension on the gateway.
Symptom
With many UDPs, in the gateway extension, it is possible to see a significant increase in the time required to load the gateway configuration can be observed.
If you see excessive gateway config load times, 30, 40, or more minutes until the gateway services are ready then you may be running into this issue.
Cause
IBM is working to resolve the source of the issue.
Environment
Any gateway deployment where a large collection of UDPs are deployed to the gateway.
