LI83188: THE AMU PORT-TO-APIGW WILL FAIL TO PROCESS A V5(C) API WHEN PATHPROPERTY HAS A NULL VALUE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A null value is an invalid value for a path property which was
  causing an exception processing the API.  Path properties will
  be validated to be non-null before attempting to step into what
  should be an object.
  
  Error:
  An error occurred while converting the v5-compatible input API
  to API Gateway: [TypeError: Cannot read properties of null
  (reading 'parameters')
  

Local fix

• Remove the field with NULL from the API in the cloud provider
  org directory, then the porting tool run again to properly
  migrate the API.
  

Problem summary

• A null value for a path property is invalid configuration which
  was not expected by the archive:port-to-apigw porting tool.  The
  value would cause an exception during migration processing of
  the API.  The fix will delete the invalid property and will
  issue a warning in the port logs as well as a comment in the
  migrated API's path indicating that the invalid value was
  encountered and deleted.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix will be delivered to the API Connect Migration Utility in
  versions v10.0.5.7-r1, v10.0.5.8, and v10.0.8.0-r0.
