* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After a number of graceful restarts,    *
*                      the                                     *
*                      following may be issued:                *
*                      AH03490 scoreboard is full, not at      *
*                      MaxRequestWorkers. Increase             *
*                      ServerLimit                             *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Active processes and "gracefully exiting" processes share the
available scoreboard slots, even though the latter do not count
against MaxClients/MaxRequestWorkers.
When there are many exiting processes and a needed worker cannot
be started,  AH03490 is issued.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code was updated to provide additional detail inside the
AH03490 message and improves the process management in some
relatively obscure cases, for example multiple graceful restarts
over time.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in IBM HTTP
Server fix packs 9.0.5.20. For more information, see
