Error description

  • When a MIF Processing Rule is invoked by an Event Listener to
copy a NULL value from a persistent field defined as DATETIME to
a non-persistent field defined as DATETIME, Maximo throws the
exception "BMXAA4143E - The date format is not valid. Use the
date format defined by your locale, or use the calendar control
to enter a date. When the non-persistent field is changed to type
ALN, the error no longer occurs.

    To reproduce the behavior:
    1.	Create a non-persistent field on WORKORDER defined as
DATETIME which is the SAMEAS a persistent field on WORKORDER
    that is also DATETIME.
    2.	Create an Object Structure with MBO WORKORDER that includes
both the persistent and non-persistent DATETIME fields.
    3.	Create a Publish Channel with the previously created Object
    Structure.
    4.	Add a Processing Rule to the Publish Channel with a SET
action that copies the value from the persistent DATETIME field
    to the non-persistent DATETIME field.
    5.	Create an External System with the previously created Publish
    Channel.
    6.	Create/Update a WORKORDER record and ensure that the
persistent DATETIME field contains a NULL value.

    7.	The create/update should generate the error specified in
    this case.
