Summary
This document provides guidance on migrating a WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5-based Omnibus WebGUI installation to a WebSphere Application Server 9.0.5 installation.
Steps
There is no "upgrade" path to migrate from a WebSphere 8.5.5-based Omnibus WebGUI installation to WebSphere 9.0.5. You must do a separate WebSphere 9.0.5, JazzSM/DASH, and Omnibus WebGUI installation, and then migrate the JazzSM/DASH, WebGUI, and WAS security configurations. Ensure the same WebSphere, JazzSM/DASH versions are installed in the new WebSphere 9.0.5 installation. For the WebSphere Federated Repository (user repository) configuration, the following file can be copied from the WebSphere 8.5.5 installation to the WebSphere 9.0.5 installation:
[JazzSM Home]/profile/config/cells/JazzSMNode01Cell/wim/config/wimconfig.xml
Note: Back up the original wimconfig.xml file on the WebSphere 9.0.5 installation before replacing them with the file copied from the 8.5.5 installation. Restart the WebGUI server process after replacing the file.
All other WebSphere security configurations (such as TAI/SAML or LTPA SSO, FIPs, SP800-131) must be manually replicated in the target 9.0.5 installation.
For Netcool Operations Insight integration, the Hybrid cloud integration toolkit must be installed in the new WebSphere 9.05 installation. After installation of the Hybrid cloud tookit, the following two files can be replaced with the same files copied over from the 8.5.5 installation:

NetcoolOAuthProvider.xml
Restart the WebGUI server process after replacing the files.
