Troubleshooting
Problem
When running the Planning Analytics Database Migration Tool to convert a v11 model to v12 the following error is thrown and the migration fails:
$ ./migrate_tm1.sh --input "C:\TM1_Model" --output "file://localhost/c:/TM1_Output/model.tar.gz"
./migrate_tm1.sh: line 234: ./_mt11t12_.exe: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error
Symptom
Migration fails and does not produce any v12 package output.
Cause
Two reasons why this error may appear:
- If you run the Linux build on a Windows Operating System (or vice versa). The Migration Tool download contains both Linux and Windows builds.
- There is corruption in the extracted files.
Resolving The Problem
Be sure to use the correct build with the correct Operating System.
If required re-extract the Database Migration Tool from the source zip file.
