PH59345: A FILE HAVING FILENAME IN ASCII ENCODING GETS CREATED WHEN BIPMQTT PROCESS GETS STARTED ON ZOS

Error description

• When the bipMQTT process is started by passing the arguments
  including the log directory and abend directory, a file with
  file name in ASCII encoding, which is unreadable in EBCDIC
  environment, gets created in USS path from where the bipMQTT
  start command is initiated.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When attempting to start the bipMQTT process by passing the
  arguments that include the log directory and abend directory,
  bipMQTT takes the ascii value of these arguments and passes them
  directly to the function that opens/redirects stdout/stderr
  streams. As a result, a file with name in ASCII encoding, which
  is unreadable in an EBCDIC environment, gets generated in the
  USS path from where the bipMQTT start command is initiated.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product has been modified to ensure that the arguments are
  now passed in the correct code page and as a result, the file is
  created with a readable name.
