Error description

  • When doing a MODIFY ANGELS command, the messages CWWKB0076I and
CWWKB0077I are displayed, but then an ABEND0C4 PIC4 happens:
SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=0C4  REASON CODE=00000004
PSW points to:
CCR3STGS:HSD7780..UA68211
Which appears to be part of:
ASID(X'0081') 0F87A36A. CCR6FCNS+04236A IN EXTENDED PLPA

Problem summary


    

  • The modify DISPLAY,ANGELS command encounters an

ABEND0C4/ABENDS0C4 in CCR3STGS/CCR6FCNS+04236A because

ListActiveAngels calls free on a string that was not
obtained with malloc.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code was updated to allocate the UNK string with malloc.
The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
24.0.0.3. For more information,
