Error description

  • When IBM Spectrum Protect Plus performs SQL Server Always ON
Availability Group database restore on Failover Cluster
Instances (FCI) server, it attempts to add restore cluster drive
from "Available Storage" resource group to "Cluster Shared
Volume" resource group. This fails with following error:

    CTGGE0060,[sql-server] Database [sql-db] instance
    [sql-instance] pre-restore error[Failed to get the cluster
    shared volume mount information].

The issue affects SQL AAG of FCI replicas sharing cluster
    drives.

    The windows event log shows:

    Error,<date-time>,Microsoft-Windows-FailoverClustering,1069,Re
    sourceControl Manager,"Cluster resource '<cluster-resource-name>
type 'SQL Server Availability Group' in clustered role
    '<cluster-role>' failed.

This also leads to cluster crash and all servers need to be
    restarted.
