Error description

  • After upgrading IBM Spectrum Protect Plus to 10.1.12 the
    Maintenance Job runs 18+ hours to complete.
    Prior to upgrading 10.1.12, the Maintenance job completed in 6
    hours.
    
    
    Below is an example of the maintenance job summary and time it
    took to run.
    
    SUMMARY,#############,<timestamp>,,CTGGA2340,Job policy
    Maintenance completed in 6 hr(s) 4 min(s) 9 sec(s) and ended
    with status COMPLETED.  id #############
    
    After the upgrade to 10.1.12, the maintenance runs significantly
    longer, completing in 18+ hours.

    Maintenance completed in 19 hr(s) 57 sec(s) and ended with
    status COMPLETED.  id #############
    
    The performance of the Maintenance  job is relative to the size
    of the environment and resources of the SPP server.
    The completion time of the Maintenance job will be different in
    each customer environment.

Problem conclusion
