On 30 January 2024, IBM released IBM® Maximo® Application Suite Manage Component patch 8.7.4.

DT213687 System UI In the Mobile Technician application, the value "0:00" cannot be manually entered in the "Estimated Duration" field of a Work Order.
DT237105 System UI Logging in to Maximo Mobile fails with error BMXAA7901E when the password contains special characters.
DT243409 Mobile In the Technician Tile, unable to search for Work Orders that have a value that includes an apostrophe (').
DT243499 Mobile With Maximo Application Suite 8.10, new functionality was added to the Inspection Application introduced, MVI analysis. The component used to view the MVI result is the graphite-common-solution-components (gcsc). Originally, the Inspection app was built with gcsc-2.0.13, but this component is incompatible with the Config Tool (MAF 8_10_6). It was necessary to upgrade the gcsc to a version that is compatible with the Config Tool. Maximo Asset Management clients must install TPAE 7.6.1.3 interim fix 016 or later.
DT244780 System UI When the user enters or feeds data in smart-input, an Invalid Time error pops up.
DT244781 Mobile Mobile doesn't update the Work Order list page in the cloned app.
DT245753 Crontask set up In a Manage 8.7 environment, statuses for the MasUserAnalyzer and MasUserReporting crontasks are both set to Inactive. A user cannot change the status value because the field is READONLY.
DT246112 System UI Title of attachment screen and message of attached file are not translated to the device's system language.
DT246291 Mobile Unable to Search for Items by Description in the Inventory Countering Mobile application.
DT246361 Technician An intermittent error might display: "Regular hours plus overtime duration exceeds duration between start and finish times.".
DT246380 Mobile In the Shipment Receiving application, when an Asset is transferred to a storeroom during the initial Receive option, the Asset has no reference to the Asset number or serial number that was checked in.
DT246653 Manage Inspections Forms When a form with several questions in a group is duplicated, the question order is not maintained.
DT246695 System UI Read-only mode doesn't work for the second attribute of a Multipart Textbox.
DT247365 Mobile On the Receipts screen in the role-based Shipment Receiving application, there is a checkbox that has no functionality.
DT247794 Count Book The "Counted By" field displays the logged in user's userid rather than their personid.
DT251538 Mobile In the role-based Inventory Receiving application, when a Purchase Order has some parts in "Received" status, there is a check box on the Receipts screen that has no functionality.

Item Assembly Structures In the Assets application, in the "Apply Item Assembly Structure" dialog, selecting the Move to menu option in the Belongs to field causes error BMXAA4107E.
IJ48645 Inventory usage Issue transactions are generated with "???" in GLDEBITACCT.
IJ48739 System UI When the date format is set to dd/MMM/yyyy and the user's locale is en_AU or en_GB, picking a date in September results in error BMXAA4144E.
IJ48747 Location In the Create Service Request application, clicking the Select Value option on the Location field results in error BMXAA2661E - "Location LOCZBC is not a valid location.".
IJ48821 Graphical Assignment If the Schedule Start Date is modified on the Task of a Work Order, the date is not updated in the Graphical Assignment View, even when the Refresh Schedule option is selected.
IJ48875 Email Listeners E-mail Listener cannot process an attachment of type ".msg".
IJ48905 Assets When you issue a rotating tool to a Work Order at a different site and then return the rotating tool back to the originating storeroom, but into a different bin, Maximo is not updating the Asset bin correctly.
IJ49199 Inventory usage Auto Split is not working as expected for a Rotating Item of cost type Asset.
IJ49211 Condition Monitoring In the Condition Monitoring application, generating a Work Order results in error BMXAA2854E - "Work order NNNN has already been generated for measure point ABCD most recent measurement.".
IJ49218 Assets Specification Attributes are doubled when an Asset is duplicated.
IJ49458 System UI In Inspections, cannot enter a time in "HH:mm:ss" format.
IJ49481 System UI The Calendar Button in SQL Expression Builder does not work.
IJ49537 Login A failed login attempt results in the error "The server has encountered an unknown error." rather than BMXAA7901E - "You cannot log in at this time. Contact the system administrator.".
IJ49560 System UI Attaching Pictures to Inspection Questions causes the Mobile Inspection application to close, and the device returns to the main navigation screen.
DT256781 Spatial Work Order marker does not appear on Map when record has Service Address.
Manual Changes
APAR Change instructions
Requires changes in asset.xml file
Go to the Application Designer application and filter for the ASSET application
 1. Click on "Export Application Definition" to export the asset.xml file.
 2. Save the exported asset.xml. Open it for editing.
 2. Filter for the following line:
      <datasrc id=""parentitem"" relationship=""PARENT""/>
 54. Change the line to:
      <datasrc beanclass=""psdi.webclient.beans.asset.MoveToItemStructBean"" id=""parentitem"" relationship=""PARENT""/>
 5. Save the modified asset.xml and import it in the Application Designer application.

Manually Installing the Patch
  • Log in to Maximo Application Suite Administration as an administrative user.
  • On the left, click Applications.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • In the dialog box, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • Under Activation configuration, click your workspace details page link.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • Under Configurations, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • In the Maximo Base line, under new version click the down arrow.
  • Select Version. Enter 8.7.4
  • Click Save.
