Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: This issue affects users of the IBM MQ 9.3.X CD Explorer on Linux managing queue managers created with earlier version of MQ. Platforms affected: Linux on x86-64 **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Several warning messages related to the attributes MQCA_INITIAL_KEY and MQCA_SSL_KEY_REPO_PASSWORD were displayed in the below format when MQ Explorer was accessed via Linux console: Attribute 2055(MQCA_SSL_KEY_REPO_PASSWORD)missing from type table (2) for object xxx_XX Attribute 2054(MQCA_INITIAL_KEY)missing from type table (2) for object xxx_XX Attribute 2055(MQCA_SSL_KEY_REPO_PASSWORD)missing from type table (2) for object xyz_XX Attribute 2054(MQCA_INITIAL_KEY)missing from type table (2) for object xyz_XX One of these lines was output for each of these 2 attributes, for each queue manager manager by the Explorer that was created with an earlier version of MQ - for instance at 9.3 LTS or earlier. This was because the 9.3 CD Explorer was inquiring the values of these properties - introduced at 9.3 CD - however the older queue manager did not know about these properties, and so these warning messages were returned. These do not cause any errors - there is simply no information to display for these properties. This issue only occurred on Linux, as Windows did not write any messages like this to the console.
Problem conclusion
These warning messages are no longer written to the Linux console - their content is still available if the explorer is run with trace enabled, as these lines will now be written there. There may still be messages written to the console like: (:329942): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 02:53:26.329: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v9.4 LTS 9.4.0.0 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'IBM MQ Recommended Fixes' https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/recommended-fixes-ibm-mq If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'IBM MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' https://ibm.biz/mqplannedmaintenance ---------------------------------------------------------------
