PowerHA Tools Smart Assist Admin Domain Cleanup For R740 And Above

General Page

This document will provide instruction to clean up the old Smart Assist for Admin Domain management functions.
Starting in IBMi OS R740, with enhancements in the PowerHA® product, some utilities of Smart Assist are no longer being developed and are considered not supported (refer to
Smart Assist for PowerHA®® on IBM i).  Some of the PowerHA® Cluster Management functions (SETFACT and RTVFACT) and Admin Domain Management will no longer be leveraged by Smart Assist.
To clean up the cluster environment so that the referenced Smart Assist are no longer in play, perform the following:
1) Ensure that all nodes are active in the cluster (Use DSPCLUINF or WRKCLU opt6)
2) From one node, use the ENDCRG USRPRF command to end the crg
2a) Ensure that the USRPRF crg is Inactive (Use DSPCRGINF or WRKCLU opt9)
3) From one node, use the DLTCRG USRPRF  command to delete the crg
3a) Ensure that the USRPRF crg has been deleted (Use DSPCRGINF or WRKCLU opt9)
4) From each node in the cluster, use the WRKREGINF command to locate and remove any exit programs referencing library QZRDPWRHA from the exit points QIBM_QCA_RTV_COMMAND and QIBM_QSY_CRT_PROFILE
