  • Additional diagnostic data has been identified for inclusion in
failure data capture (FDC) records with probe ID AT077013 from
the atxAssociationRemove component

USERS AFFECTED:
This is only an issue for anyone who already sees AT077013 FDC
records being created, which is extremely rare because it
indicates a defect in an external Transaction Manager product
being used to co-ordinate external transactions involving IBM MQ
queue managers.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The AT077013 FDC appears to show MQ has encountered an internal
error, but this is unlikely in practice.  The reason for the
FDCs is much more likely to be because the external Transaction
Manager software product has made an xa_end call to the queue
manager specifying an incorrect XID (transaction identifier).

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Change the MQ code so that this AT077013 FDC contains better
diagnostic data, and better comments.
