Troubleshooting
Problem
During MAS airgap installation environment, when mirroring all images with mas cli mirror-images (as per documentation https://ibm-mas.github.io/cli/commands/mirror-images/), an error on taskRun "cluster-monitoring" is ocurring . Error is that it doesn't install grafana operator.
Searching in pods log you can find that the pod "grafana-operator-controller-manager-xxxx" fail with "ImagePullBackOff" error:
Failed to pull image "gcr.io/kubebuilder/kube-rbac-proxy:v0.8.0": rpc error: code = Unknown desc = pinging container registry gcr.io: Get "https://gcr.io/v2/": dial tcp: lookup gcr.io on x.x.x.x:53: server misbehaving Failed to pull image "quay.io/grafana-operator/grafana-operator:v4.10.1": rpc error: code = Unknown desc = pinging container registry quay.io: Get "https://quay.io/v2/": dial tcp: lookup quay.io on x.x.x.x:53: server misbehaving
Symptom
Error is that the grafana operator cannot be installed.
Resolving The Problem
This is an issue worked by Red Hat under https://issues.redhat.com/browse/CFE-780. IBM Maximo Application Suite has no control over it and done everything possible to mitigate the issue (see https://github.com/ibm-mas/cli/pull/411).
