Troubleshooting
Problem
Scheduled jobs are getting HALTED. There is nothing showing up in the running query monitor.
Resolving The Problem
Try the following from the cli:
1. grdapi get_guard_param paramName=CLASSIFIER_RUNNING_TIMEOUT
This is probably set to 30: CLASSIFIER_RUNNING_TIMEOUT value: 30
This is probably set to 30: CLASSIFIER_RUNNING_TIMEOUT value: 30
2.grdapi modify_guard_param paramName=CLASSIFIER_RUNNING_TIMEOUT paramValue=120
3.verify: grdapi get_guard_param paramName=CLASSIFIER_RUNNING_TIMEOUT
CLASSIFIER_RUNNING_TIMEOUT value: 120
This sets it to 2 hours
This sets it to 2 hours
See whether that prevents the jobs from Halting.
If it does not, then enable the classifier in debug mode:
cli> store log classifier level DEBUG
The change will only take effect after the next reboot or GUI restart
cli> restart GUI
Wait for the issue to re-occur, then collect a support must_gather app_issues and upload that to the case.
In summary: If changing the timeout to 120 minutes,
Either the job does not get killed anymore (if guardium received results back from the remote db within 2 hours).
Or it will get killed after waiting and not getting results back or 2 hours...
If it's not getting a response from the remote db within 2 hours, have their DBA check to see whether anything is going on, from the DB side while the query is running.
