Abstract
Join the Advanced Technology Group (ATG) Tape Team and learn about the new enhancements and features coming to IBM’s TS7700 release 5.4. The ATG tape team discusses new enhancements as well as some expanded features that help make the IBM TS7700 mainframe virtual tape system the best performing with the largest install base.
One of the newest enhancements that will be examined will be those to LWORM, specifically we call it “LWORM Retention”. Other enhancements and features to be covered are changes to the maximum allowed virtual volume size, a new model of TSSC, more RESTful API commands, code level rules for Joins, Copy Export and Unjoins with Objects.
