APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • We can create an OIDC registry without using a client-secret
(Client authentication method
:Data encoded form body). However, once the registry is set with
with a client-secret value, apim doesn't clean up the
client-secret afterwards, when users try to remove it from an
existing user-registry configuration.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • If the authentication method is form_body, the client_secret for
an OIDC user registry is optional.  Before this fix, customer
cannot update an existing OIDC user registry to remove the
client_secret

Problem conclusion

  • Issue fixed in API Connect version 10.0.5.5 and 10.0.1.13
