  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Additional data length validation checks were added under APAR
  IT42945. Some MQ 5.2 and 5.3 Java clients, which are no longer
  in support, contain a defect which send an invalidly-sized
  transmission to the queue manager when attempting to establish.
  
  The incorrect size of this transmission is not harmful to the
  queue manager, but is correctly detected as malformed by the new
  validation checks, resulting in the queue manager terminating
  the connection attempt with a protocol error.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR adds an additional tuning parameter that can be
  provided by IBM support in the event that the use of unsupported
  Java/JMS clients cannot be immediately remediated.
  
  The tuning parameter suppresses the relevant data length check
  for transmissions that are consistent with the invalid
  transmission sent by the defective 5.2 and 5.3 Java clients.
