PH57257: MONSTATUS OF A MQMONTITOR NOT STOPPING AS EXPECTED 23/12/06 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After a CEMT SET MQM() STOP command  CEMT INQUIRE MQMON still
  shows the mqmonitor as started.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users with APAR PH40385 applied.    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An MQMonitor is being stopped, however  *
  *                      an inquire of that MQMonitor shows its  *
  *                      state as started.                       *
  ****************************************************************
  When issuing a CEMT SET MQMONITOR STOPPED, DFHMQTM is called
  and sets the monstatus bit to indicate it is stopping.
  To check that the MQMonitor has been stopped successfully, an
  INQUIRE MQMONITOR is issued and again DFHMQTM is called but sees
  that the CKTI transaction is still active and incorrectly resets
  the monstatus bit indicating the MQMonitor is started.
  

Problem conclusion

• UI77723 UI77724
  DFHMQTM has been changed to ensure that an MQMOnitor in a
  stopping state does not have its status altered back to started.
