APAR status

Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    
    There is a performance issue with Quick Query Builder after
    upgrading from 7.6.1.2 to 7.6.1.3. This happens for Graphical
    Assignment and Graphical Scheduler for Work Order query (not
    labor) when choosing the Quick Query Builder (SQL expression
    option is fine). It takes 1-2 minutes to open the dialog.
    
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1) Open Graphical Assignment Application > Select any record.
    
    2) For WORKORDER dataset record, select Quick Query Builder.
    
    3) Maximo will take 1-2 minutes to open the dialog.
    
    
    INVESTIGATION:
    
    After checking the App XML, I found that the dialog is more or
    less similar to the "Work Order Tracking Advance Search" dialog,
    whereas the Advance Search is working fine, I also noticed that
    it has mboname="WORKORDER" property. I think that Maximo is
    querying WORKORDER table to open the Quick Query Builder dialog
    which is strange. To prove that behaviour, I add
    wherecluase="1=2" to the dialog and it back to normal
    performance. The entry in the log is: 13:05:54:355 [WARN]
    [TESTServer2] [] BMXAA6720W - USER = (MAXADMIN) SPID = (118) app
    (null) object (MULTIASSETLOCCI) : select * from multiassetlocci
    where recordkey= '1144334' and recordclass= 'WORKORDER' and
    worksiteid= 'EFI' OPTION (FAST 1000) (execution took 171668
    milliseconds).
    "More Search Fields" in Work order tracking app works fine
    without performance issues.
