Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">All Users of
    IBM Integration Bus V10.1 who attempt to set Integration API
    timeout in toolkit.</span>

    Platforms affected:
    Linux on x86-64 platform, Windows on x86-64 platform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When trying to connect to a remote broker using toolkit, users
    might get an Integration API exception
    "ConfigManagerProxyPropertyNotInitializedException" and the
    connection establishment will fail.

    The error happens when the connection is not established in 60
    seconds which is the default Integration API timeout value. The
    Integration API timeout value can be changed in the toolkit. To
    change the Integration API timeout value, go to
    Windows-->Preferences -->Integration Development-->Unit Test
    Settings.

    When trying to connect to the broker using the changed timeout
    value, the user might still get the same timeout issue because
    of the newly set timeout value is not taken in effect.

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Integration Bus V10.1 toolkit can now specify connection
    timeout value(in seconds) in the Integration API timeout option.
    To specify the Integration API timeout value, go to
    Windows-->Preferences -->Integration Development-->Unit Test
    Settings.
