IJ48343: THE "NUMERIC VALUE" FIELD OF ASSETS AND ITEM MASTER'S SPECIFICATION TAB IS STILL READ-ONLY AND THE "ALPHANUMERIC VALUE" IS EDIT

Error description

• Description:
  The "Numeric Value" field of Assets and Item Master's
  specification tab is still read-only and the "Alphanumeric
  Value" is  editable even when the user changes the data type to
  Numeric.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  1 Login to Maximo as maxadmin
  
  2 Open the Classifications application.
  
  3 Create a new Classification (e.g CLASS01).
  
  4 In the "Use With" table, add "ITEM" and "ASSET".
  
  5 In the "Attributes" table, add a new attribute (e.g ATT01).
  
  6 Set the data type as "ALN" and save.
  
  7 Go to Item Master application.
  
  8 Create a new record (e.g ITEM01).
  
  9 Check the "Rotating?" checkbox
  
  10 On the "Specifications" tab, add the classification (e.g
  CLASS01) you just
  created.
  
  11 The "Numeric Value" is read-only and the "Alphanumeric Value"
  is editable.
  
  This is correct because the "Data Type" is set to "ALN".
  
  12 Change the status to active and check the "Roll New Status to
  Organizations
  
  and Inventory" checkbox.
  
  13 On the "More Actions" menu, choose "Add Items to Storeroom".
  
  14 Add the item to Storeroom "Central" and click OK.
  
  15 Go to Assets application.
  
  16 Create a new record (e.g ASSET01).
  
  17 Populate the "Rotating Item" with the ITEM01 you just created
  and save.
  
  18 On the "Specifications" tab, the CLASS01 classification and
  ATT01 attribute
  
  will be populated.
  
  19 Go back to the Classifications application and open the
  Classification (e.g CLASS01) record.
  
  20 On the "More Actions" menu, choose "Add/Modify Properties"
  and select "Attribute".
  
  21 Filter for the attribute (e.g ATT01) and change the data type
  to "NUMERIC".
  
  22 Click OK and save.
  
  23 Go to Item Master app.
  
  24 Access your record created (e.g ITEM01).
  
  25 Go to the Specifications tab.
  
  RESULT:
  The "Numeric Value" is still read-only and the "Alphanumeric
  Value" is
  
  editable, which is incorrect because we changed the "Data Type"
  to
  "NUMERIC".
  
  26 Go to Assets app
  
  27 Access your record created (e.g ASSET01).
  
  28 Go to the Specifications tab.
  
  RESULT:
  The "Numeric Value" is still read-only and the "Alphanumeric
  Value" is
  
  editable, which is incorrect because we changed the "Data Type"
  to "NUMERIC".
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  After changing the data type from "ALN" to "NUMERIC", the
  "Numeric Value"
  
  should be editable, and the Alphanumeric Value should be
  read-only.
