Reports in MAS suddenly stop running.

Troubleshooting


Problem

After reports have been running for some time, reports suddenly stop running.
The user sees a generic error like the following.

Symptom

An error starts appearing in the logs like the following.
Aug 8 11:20:23 xxxxxxxx-main-default-c5d45fb78-7npwk default ERROR 08 Aug 2023 15:20:23:128 [ERROR] [MXServer] [] DataSet [mainDataSet] null java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: null

Resolving The Problem

If the Report Pod is restarted, the reports will run again. However, this fix is temporary.

For a permanent fix, set mxe.db.fetchStopExclusion property to REPORTHYPERLINKQUERYURL
