Error description

• This functionality worked in 11.0.13 Cognos.
  Maximo uses the Cognos Viewer (/vi/disp) when launching out to
  Cognos. It appears that in 11.1.7 (and onward) this context does
  not work the same within Cognos.
  
  and hyperlinking with parameters fails to pass the parameter
  values.
  
  Using the Cognos perspective "authoring" (newer alternative to
  Cognos Viewer) in 11.1.7 does handle the parameter passing as
  expected.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  
  This can be tested without requiring Maximo as you can force a
  command line to appear as it were coming from Maximo.
  
  You do require a Cognos analytics server.
  Create 2 reports within Cognos.  A Launch report and a Landing
  report
  Add a few work order elements to the Launch report - Wonum,
  status date, description
  Make the wonum a link to your sub report
  add 2 parameters on a prompt page - status and status date
  create the landing page in a similar fashion.
  within Cognos, run the launch report, supply status APPR and
  using the date picker enter 1999, Aug, 10 as the date
  click Finish
  you should see a list of work orders
  copy the url from the address bar
  click on a work order
  Cognos will pass your chosen parameters and display the sub
  report directly
  
  edit your copied url and change
  
  /bi/?perspective=authoring
  to
  bi/v1/disp?b_action=cognosViewer
  
  paste this in a new browser tab and it should present the report
  as if it were launched from Maximo
  enter parameters and select a work order from the list
  
  RESULTS:
  
  you will be shown the prompt page for the sub report
  The url will end with /vi/disp instead of including all the
  appropriate parameters.
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  
  The sub report should launch directly.
