Error description

  • The newly added date type classification value is not copied to
    the new record when created.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    1. Open the classifications application and search for the
classification of Seal. If not using Maximo demo data open any
existing classification that can be used against the service
    request and work order application.

    2. From the More Action section press the Add/Modify
Properties button and then select attributes. Press the new row
button. Use the value of Date for the attribute fled and set the
Data Type to Date, press OK.

    3. Move to the attributes section of the Seal classification
and add 3 values, one of a type of ALN, another with a type of
Numeric and lastly add the Date type just created, save the
    record.

    4. Create a new service request record, add the site value and
add the classification from the previous step, and save the
    record.

    5. Move to the specifications tab and add values for the 3
    attributes added earlier.

    6. From the More actions menu select Create and then Work
order. A new work order is created and the classification is
copied over. Check the work order and notice that the value that
was added for the Data type did not crossover while the other 2
    did.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:

That the data would have copied over to the new work order
    created.

    Reported in Version:

    IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.3
