PH55881: An empty JAVA-CALLABLE procedure division causes a compiler loop

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If you're trying out a JAVA-CALLABLE build with no code in the
  procedure division, something like this:
  
      ...
      LINKAGE SECTION.
      77 PARM PIC ...
      >>JAVA-CALLABLE
      PROCEDURE DIVISION USING PARM.
  
  then the compiler will loop after having produced only the
  "Options in effect" report.
  

Local fix

• Provide some procedure division content, for example a DISPLAY
  statement.
