Problem summary

  • A syntax error occurred when // was encountered in the midle of
a data line -part of a DD statement.

Problem conclusion

  • It was allowed specifically for a particular JCL program when
executed, but with an incomplete / wrong condition, and this
condition was fixed so that to treat it as usually for a data
line, I.e.: to not try to interpret the // chars inside a data
line.
