| IBM Storage Protect for Cloud | There is an update to the retention period for all Customers of Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services. This update only effects internal processes and does not impact the Customer’s contracted term with IBM. Retention period for all Customers is the contracted term plus 60 days. IBM allows an extra 60 days after term expiration so that Customers can either start a new contract term or move their data. | 12/01/2022 | 06/27/2023 |
| IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services Recovery Portal | Learn about new features and updates in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services Recovery Portal. Release Date: October 11, 2022 The Recovery Portal can now follow the Session Timeout Setting configured in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services. When users try to access the Recovery Portal with non-Microsoft 365 accounts, the Recovery Portal can now block these users by displaying a page with a prompt message. Recovery Portal can now support users to search and restore documents backed up in SharePoint Online sites where they are site owners. Request history can now display jobs stopped by administrators in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services for Microsoft 365. Users can select Stopped from the Job status drop-down list and view stopped jobs in the filter result. In Data recovery, when users want to restore Exchange Online emails from the backup data stored on Amazon S3 or Amazon S3-Compatible storage locations, they can now click Preview Email to have a preview of email contents. In Data recovery, when users search OneDrive for Business data to restore, the table with the search results can now display a file icon next to each file name in the Document name column. |

| IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services | Learn about new features and updates in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services. Release Date: October 11, 2022 To protect Teams chat messages for your Microsoft 365 users, you must request access to Microsoft Graph Teams Export API and configure a custom Azure app in your tenant with the required API permissions. *Note: IBM Spectrum Protect Plus uses the Export API Model B, and it costs you $0.00075 per message for the protection of Teams chat. If you would like to switch to Model A, which has more requirements for the supported license, contact support for assistance. IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services for Microsoft 365 is now available in Australia East (New South Wales) data center. If you configured an app profile as your scan profile authentication method with a service account profile as the supplementary, the system uses app profile authentication first to protect your scanned objects and use service account authentication to protect the data types that fail in app context. The User.Read.All permission is added to the delegated app to protect the Planner data. You can re-authorize that app on the IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services App Management page. You can now stop a restore or export job in Job Monitor. The Microsoft 365 Unusual Activities Analysis Report now supports reporting suspicious SharePoint Online sites with unusual activities or that are under potential attack. You no longer need to configure super users to decrypt the IRM protected files in backup. If you select the Decrypt the files protected by Information Rights Management (IRM) option, the IRM protected files will be decrypted during backup, and these files can be accessible to the destination users after recovered. When you browse a private channel backup data of a selected backup job in the Teams Restore wizard, you can select the Show the private channel site option to display and drill down the private channel site to find the content that you want to restore. |

New feature: IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services Recovery Portal is a portal where users can recover their lost data. IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services Recovery Portal is available and free for customers who use IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services for Microsoft 365 to protect their data in Microsoft 365. For more information: SPPOS Recovery Portal Previously Added features: If your tenant is using IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Online Services to protect Microsoft Planner data, you can now go to App Management to configure an app profile for a Microsoft delegated app with the assigned permissions. After the delegated app profile is created, go to Auto Discovery, and add the delegated app profile to a scan profile, which uses the app profile authentication method and includes Microsoft Teams in the scan scope. For more information: SPPOS App Management and SPPOS Auto Discovery. The following apps are updated to add the Microsoft Graph API permissions that replace the Azure Active Directory API permissions:
