IBM® DOORS® Client 9.7.2.7 has been updated and re-released on 10 July 2023 to include an urgent defect fix for APAR PH54171 as build number 97849, build date 27 June 2023

Abstract

After 10 July 2023 the DOORS 9.7.2.7 client downloaded from IBM Fix Central and installed, will carry a higher build number, and later build date than the original 9.7.2.7 release (11 April 2023). This reissue is to signify the inclusion of the fix for APAR PH54171.
If your DOORS client build number is 97849, and the build date is 27 June 2023, you are using the new fixed 9.7.2 Fixpack 7.
If your DOORS client build number is 97832, and the build date is 11 April 2023, you are using the old 9.7.2 Fixpack 7 susceptible to APAR PH54171.

Uninstall existing installations of DOORS Client 9.7.2.7 (build 97832) before you install DOORS Client 9.7.2.7 (build 97849).
If you see errors relating to the installation of a Microsoft® Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) package, cancel the client installation, uninstall existing instances of the package and install the client again.

Downloads of the file DOORS_Client_9-7-2-7_Windows.zip after 10 July 2023 GMT contain the reissued DOORS Client 9.7.2 Fixpack 7 (build number 97849, build date 27 June 2023).
Check the contents of the DOORS Client 9.7.2.7 installation ZIP file (DOORS_Client_9-7-2-7_Windows.zip) for the presence of a text file named: 
Readme-DOORS-9727-build-97849.txt
If the text file is present, you are using the new fixed 9.7.2 Fixpack 7.
If the text file is not present, you are using the old 9.7.2 Fixpack 7 susceptible to PH54171.
Check the build number of a running DOORS® client application, by opening the "Help" menu item, and choosing "About DOORS".

If your DOORS® client build number is 97849, and the build date is 27 June 2023, you are using the new fixed 9.7.2 Fixpack 7.
