TM1 breakback: Hold & Spread does not work

Troubleshooting

Problem

The breakback of the consolidated element does not work if the user holds consolidated elements and wants to make changes to elements directly below the C element. If there’s another C element above the one with the hold, then the breakback works. It won’t work if the hold cell is a consolidated element above the element which cell should be updated.

If the same hold and spread is done on the N element of the breakback dimension, the data spread works correctly.

Cause

This issue is caused by a bug in the server code. Note that the error still appears if the BreakbackHoldsAllowed flag is set to false, which is the correct behavior. When HOLD is applied to the child, there was no issue with the spreading to the parent. The issue only appeared when the hold was on the parent, while spreading was applied to the child.

Resolving The Problem

Development team is targeting to address this defect in next Interim Fix -  2.0.9.17 IF3
