Troubleshooting
Problem
When the external share component is deployed as a container, it fails to connect to the Content Platform Engine during configuration or after being upgraded. As a result, FileNet P8 documents cannot be shared with external users.
Symptom
When the external share component is deployed as a container, it cannot be configured. This limitation occurs in new deployments and upgrades of deployments from prior releases.
When an external share plug-in is configured or upgraded, an error is thrown when a connection to the Content Platform Engine is attempted.
