  The 'Backup on save' in the Map preferences does not appear to

Problem conclusion

• Corrected the functionality of Map Preference of "backup on
  save" option.
  The .bak file created when backup on save option is checked and
  back on save option is unchecked then file will not be created.
  
  Applies to:
  9.0.0.5, 10.0.3.2, 10.1.0.2, 10.1.1.1, 10.1.2.0
  
  Fixed in the next service packs and releases.
