Error description

  • Admin Tool:  Templates for rebuild index are not
generated when recovering a tablespace

Description: When JCL for the Recover Tablespace utility is
generated with option "Generate template statements" enabled,
SYSUT1 DD is generated instead of a template for WORKDDN.  The
SYSUT1 DD will be removed from the ADB2USV skeleton.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When generating JCL for                 *
*                      RECOVER TABLESPACE or REBUILD INDEX,    *
*                      the SYSUT1 DD is added, but is unused   *
*                      by the utility.                         *
****************************************************************
When the Db2 Administration Tool generates JCL for
RECOVER TABLESPACE and/or REBUILD INDEX, the generated
JCL contains the SYSUT1 DD, which was previously
required by the REBUILD INDEX utility. Since currently REBUILD
INDEX does not have this requirement, the SYSUT1 DD generation
was removed.

Problem conclusion
