APAR status

Error description

  • Problem Description:
    When a date has been entered on the inspection form and then
    remove the date, there is a error message presented and the form
    can't be saved without a date.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    
    1. Go to Work Order Tracking
    2. Add an Inspection form and save the record
    Created WO: 1209
    Location: BR240
    Inspection Form: 1002 delete date
    Save
    
    Inspection Result: 1017
    3. Select the 'Inspection Result' field and Select 'Go To
    Conduct and Inspection'
    Inspection Result: 1017 > Go To Conduct an Inspection
    
    4. The Inspection Form opens
    5. Start or Continue the inspection for the form and work order
    Clicked Start
    6. Enter a date in a date field (required)
    Clicked the Calendar icon
    Selected 5/3/23
    7.Remove the date from the date field
    Clicked into the date box and highlighted the date, clicked
    delete and received:
    Error:  "BMXAA4143E - The date format is not valid.  Use the
    date format defined by your locale or use the calendar control
    to enter the date."
    8. Click 'Save and Exit' button, you are taken back to the Work
    Order application for WO: 1209, then click the Inspection Result
    > Go To Conduct an Inspection, the same as in Step 3 above, the
    date shows the date that was selected.
    
    Note:  Saving the record without re-populating the date defaults
    to the first of the month
    - mine keeps the date that was originally was entered (5/3/23)
    
    RESULTS: From the Inspection Result > Go To Conduct an
    Inspection, the same as in Step 3 above, the date shows the date
    that was selected.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS: Once you clear the date field it should remain
    blank
