Troubleshooting
Problem
Upgrading a v20.x environment to a newer release with interim fix DT188879 installed results in "BPM/navigator/lib/httpclient.jar exists" error.
Symptom
Installation of the fix pack v21.0.x or v22.0.x results in the error:
imcl install com.ibm.bpm.ADV.v85 -acceptLicense -installationDirectory /opt/IBM/BPM/v8.5 -repositories /repository
ERROR: Error during "install" phase:
ERROR: File /opt/IBM/BPM/v8.5/BPM/navigator/lib/httpclient.jar exists. It cannot be created.
Cause
Defect in interim fix.
Resolving The Problem
1. Verify you have a back up of the Installation Manager files and profiles as described in Rolling back the upgrade.
2. Uninstall fixes "JR64138", "JR64534", and "DT188879".
3. Back up and remove content under these two folders:
cd /opt/IBM/BPM/v8.5 # i.e. installPath
rm -rf UIStaticContent/navigator
rm -rf BPM/navigator/lib
4. Continue upgrade.
