Problem conclusion
This NullPointerException stack is only a logging/trace issue and there are no function issues. The code is already correctly handling the null connectionProperties property. The code has been updated to prevent the NullPointerException from ever occurring, but is still functionally identical as before. The only difference is the NullPointerException message will no longer be in the logs. The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix packs 9.0.5.16 and 8.5.5.24.
