Troubleshooting
Problem
IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation Operator is displaying IAM Integration: Failed to add user to ZEN error even though all pods are running or completed status. This needs to be resolved before going to the next environment as part of initial testing. This is a fresh 22.02 install.
Symptom
CP4A Displays:
FAIL - Prerequisites Deployment failed Prerequisites - IAM Integration: Failed to add user to ZEN. Please check the ansible log for more detail information The error doesn't seem to affect the operation of ODM or the Cloud Pak but we can't deliver the project with an error showing up there.
oc get pods shows all pods are working
User is able to login and run ODM
Environment
22.0.2
Diagnosing The Problem
Upon checking the Ansible logs and the secrets using the must-gather, we saw that ibm-ban-secret is missing. BAN is expected to be included and used with ODM as per the capabilities documentation.
Resolving The Problem
Hence the BAN deployment failure could be linked to BAN pre-req page I linked earlier that fails the CP4A operator.
Part of that requires setting up BAN and it looks like the prerequisite steps for that have not been done, please try this to install the ibm-ban-secret from what I can see in your must-gather.
