Troubleshooting


Problem

During Email Listener OAuth Configuration with Office 365 and Google Gmail in Maximo, some issues can occur and need to fixed allowing the application to work properly.
For each issue, you need to follow the instructions described in the related document.

Resolving The Problem

For OAuth Configuration with Office 365 and Google Gmail:
1. Oauth 2.0 Configuration section is not available
    If Oauth 2.0 Configuration section is not available in email Listener application, it's required to include the information in xml. Click here.
2. BMXAA4211E - Database error number -302 has occurred when operating on INBOUNDCOMMCFG, when you save Listener Definition
    When you try to save the email Listener Definition, you are not able to proceed and a dialog opens with the error BMXAA4211E. In this case, it's required to increase the length of oauth attributes in INBOUNDCOMMCFG table. Click here.
3. Does email Listener with Oauth configuration work correctly in 7.6.1.X environments?
    Some improvements were made in email Listener application in 7.6.1.X environments, and it's recommended keeping your environment in the latest version. Click here.
4. ORA-12899: Value too large for column "INBOUNDCOMMCFG"."OAUTHACCESSTOKEN", when configuring email Listener with Oauth
    When you use Oracle database in Maximo environments, the crypto attributes have a length limited to 2000 characters. For more information, click here.
5. Person does not exist or person is inactive for sender XXX for address XXX on mail server outlook.office365.com
    After you configure email Listener with Oauth, in E-mail Processing tab, the status of the email is ERROR with the message Person does not exist or person is inactive for sender XXX for address XXX on mail server outlook.office365.com. Click here.
6. Security check failed for the email with subject XXX having object and action. The staging table identifier for this email is 383. Administrative action is required.
    After you activate email Listener, the sender receives an email informing that the security check failed. Security settings need to be included. Click here.
7. BMXAA0478E: The ROWSTAMP trigger was not found for the following tables: INBOUNDCOMMCFG

   When trying to add a New Listener Definition in E-mail Listeners application in a Maximo environment with Oracle database, you receive the error: BMXAA4211E - Database error number 1400 has occurred when performing on INBOUNDCMMCFG. To check the solution, click here.
For OAuth Configuration with Office 365 only:
1. Encountered error processing emails from mail server. java.util.NoSuchElementException, when configuring Email Listener with Oauth
    This error is related to misconfiguration when you follow the steps to configure email Listener with Oauth. To check the reasons and related solutions, click here.
2. Encountered error processing emails from mail server. javax.mail.MessagingException: A3 BAD User is authenticated but not connected, when configuring email Listener with Oauth
    This error is related to a bad refresh token. Click here.
3. Error connecting to mail server for email address XXX on mail server outlook.office365.com, when configuring email Listener with Oauth
    This error is related to JavaMail version and/or misconfiguration when you follow the steps to configure email Listener with Oauth. To check the reasons and related solutions, click here.
For OAuth Configuration with Google Gmail only:
1. BMXAA10029E - Fetching the OAuth access token failed. This is caused by invalid client credentials, an invalid refresh token or other problem related to fetching the access token.
