PH53808: USER DETAILS IN LICENSE EXPORT IS NON READABLE CHARACTER FOR NONENGLISH CHARACTERS

Error description

  • Case number: TS012567162
    CA version : 11.1.7. I tried in CA 11.2.4 and same issue is
    observed.
    
    Problem description:
    If I create user in non English Character ( Example I tried in
    Thai) and provided any licensing capability.
    Once same user is visible in License Tab of Manage. In the
    License tab user details, User name is correct and coming in
    same language via which it is created.
    But once we download it and open in a Text editor, all users
    with non English Character are converted into non readable
    character set.
    I tried with Thai and Simplified Chinese and seeing same
    behavior.
    So expecting for other language also, it might be same issue..
    
    
    Repro Steps:
    ***************
    - Set Thai language in your Window system.
    - Login from your Admin account in Cognos portal and Create a
    User in Thai language from Manage -> People -> Account -> Cognos
    User namespace.
    - Add that user in one of the group, (Analytics Explorer, User
    etc)
    - Do a login from newly created user.
    - Refresh the license tab from the Admin account.
    - You will see newly created user in Thai Language and it is
    correct. (screenshot1)
    - Click Export from the bottom side to download the license
    details.
    - Open downloaded license page in a text editor, You will see
    Thai user is in non readable character. (screenshot2)
